In 2007, Charlene entered her original recipe the Butter Pecan Caramel Cheesecake in a baking contest sponsored by the KTLA (5) Morning News Show in Los Angeles, California and the movie "Waitress". This recipe was chosen out of over 170 entries and was victorious in winning the first place prize of $2,500.00 for this fabulous cheesecake, and the rest is history.
